Orangutan (Pongo)

There are 3 species of Orangutan
- Borbean orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus)
- Sumatean orangutan (Pongo abelii)
- Tapanuli orangutan (Pongo tapanuliensis)

Fun fact: its common name is based on two separate local words "orang" (people or person) and "hutan" (forest) which is derived from the language of Malaysia, meaning 'person of the forest'.
